Re: General Chit-Chat Thread

In the South African context, the current government has not been voted in by the tax paying population, and the tax payers, regardless of demographic are really unhappy with the way in which we are being governed at the moment. There are currently only about 5.5 million registered tax payers, payi...

Re: General Chit-Chat Thread

Unfortunately I believe you're right. Communism is strong with people in my generation and we're suffering from constant calls to censor or even outright ban conservative opinions in the US. I'm definitely a bit more conservative than the average person living in the US and I'm far more pessimistic ...

Re: General Chit-Chat Thread

Well not to mention that South Africa's major news stories tend to revolve around the corrupt government and the crime. Pretoria and Johannesburg I've heard are unsafe to travel in at night.

Re: General Chit-Chat Thread

Don't worry about ivelegacy. I've not banned him because he's thus far only made his usual, mildly entertaining rants. If he attacks anyone, posts doxx or libel about someone, on the other hand that is actually damaging to their character, he'll get the boot. We got some snow here in Virginia but le...

Dirty power
Rough currents

All not very good for antique hardware.

Re: General Chit-Chat Thread

I generally dont kill spiders that just mind their own business but the basement needed cleaning that day and power washing was how I did it, just too many spiders to catch and release.

FoxBSD Discussion

Anyone remember my project FoxBSD? That FreeBSD fork? The project is not dead. I ended up losing the hosting for FoxBSD because of the asshole company I did business with. They shut down the server and wouldn't allow me to get off the data unless I paid a huge sum of cash. I decided to say no, after...

Free SGI Hardware For Experienced Developers

If you're reading this you probably have come from Reddit or other places I've asked people to spread this message, or you clicked on this. Currently the hobbyist community for IRIX is in a rather decayed state. We have lost a great deal of porting and development effort over the past decade. I am w...
